Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Dance at Home (operated by Èduan Naudé, "I", "me", "my") collects when you use this website or book a lesson, how it's used, and how it's protected, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What I collect

When you book a lesson, enquire, or contact me, I may collect:

• Your name, phone number, and/or email address
• Your home address, in order to travel to you for in-home lessons
• Booking details via Cal.com (date, time, lesson type selected)
• Payment information processed through Paystack (I do not store your card details myself — see "Payments" below)
• Video recordings of your lesson, where applicable (see "Lesson Recordings" below)

Lesson recordings

Every in-home lesson is recorded on video so you have a copy to review and practise with afterward. These recordings are:

• Sent directly to you after the lesson and considered yours to keep
• Kept strictly private — I do not use lesson recordings for promotional material, social media, or any public-facing purpose
• Stored securely and only for as long as needed to deliver the recording to you, after which I delete my working copy unless you ask me to retain it for longer

If this approach to recordings ever changes (for example, if I wanted to use a clip for marketing), I will always ask for your separate, explicit permission first — never assumed.

Payments

Payments for lessons are processed through Paystack, a third-party payment processor. I do not see or store your full card details — these are handled directly by Paystack under their own security and privacy practices. I only receive confirmation that a payment was made, along with basic transaction details (amount, date, reference).

Booking system

Lesson bookings are scheduled through Cal.com. When you book a session, Cal.com processes the date, time, and contact details you provide in order to confirm and remind you of your booking, under their own privacy practices.

How I use your information

• To arrange, confirm, and travel to your scheduled lessons
• To communicate with you about bookings, rescheduling, or payment
• To send you your lesson recordings
• To respond to enquiries made via WhatsApp, email, or the contact form

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion of your information (except where I'm required to retain records, such as payment records, for legal or tax purposes). You can exercise these rights by contacting me directly using the details below.

Data security

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including using secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website and relying on established, reputable third parties (Paystack, Cal.com) for payment and booking processing rather than handling sensitive data myself wherever possible.
